Inviting Enviroment

We offer an enriching and engaging environment where children are happy, independent, and resilient lifelong learners. An inspiring space where children will acquire fundamental life skills. Little Chicks has been created with the needs of all age children at the centre of what we offer. We provide 2 baby areas to ensure the development and care needs are focused on for all children. There is also a toddler room, pre school and multi age sensory room. We have a large garden space catered for all ages. We also invite children to the sensory garden to take part in gardening club. We facilitate our car park area between the hours of 9-3 where the car park is locked and the children enjoy free flow playing with all of our bikes and trikes.

The Garden

The nursery has a lovely garden that surrounds the whole setting, allowing all children to enjoy the outdoors. We believe in providing various learning experiences outside. Older children can have fun practising riding bikes and scooters on the smooth area, learning about safety like crossing roads and following commands to “go” or “stop”. For the little ones, the soft astro-turfed section is a safe space for them to play and explore within the garden’s boundaries. We encourage children to run, crawl, and climb to develop their physical skills. They can also play with sand and water, create art on a larger scale, and even make flower potions. In our peaceful nature garden, children can hear wind chimes, smell herbs, and learn about nature and how to care for the environment. It’s a great spot for discovering bugs, birds, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world.

Typical daily menu

Each room in our nursery has its own kitchen area where our team can take care of feeding babies, prepare nutritious meals for growing children, and involve children in learning about hygiene and cooking. Our staff are trained in Food Hygiene and Food Allergies, working closely with parents to meet dietary needs. We use a colour-coded plate system for serving food, promoting healthy choices and ensuring dietary requirements are met. Meals are served on platters to encourage independence and good eating habits. Mealtimes are more than just eating – they're a chance to socialise, communicate, and share preferences. It's a fun and interactive way for children to learn and enjoy food together.
